Hello to you! AND you & you & YOU TOO! Friday already, HURRAY!! Can you FEEELLLLL THAT excitement in the air?? Well today I have a very unique wedding gift idea to share. It is handmade with love for each couple, and no two pieces are exactly alike. I believe you should find a gift for the new Mr. & Mrs. that is something they have never seen before. So for each of my friends I like to seek out something different. Introducing my spotlight vendor for today: Battenkill River Pottery.
Battenkill River Pottery is located on historic Route 7A in picturesque Arlington, Vermont. The artist and owner’s name is Jessica Phillips. Jessica creates amazing handcrafted, artistic and functional pottery designs for all occasions. Her work is all hand-thrown from clay mixed on-site and features glazes formulated by the artist. She is incredibly talented as you can see below from the hand carved details on this “Wedding Bowl” which I had her create for my friends Kristen and Nils Pilotte.

The wedding bowl comes in 2 sizes, this one is the larger “pasta” bowl size. I contacted Jessica via e-mail, explained the couples style and choose the glaze that I liked best..and then she made magic! This is all hand-carved and then glazed to create such depth and texture.

I love the added feature of the wedding date and their names- super special! And this blue w/ brown glaze is just sooo eye catching. Stunning!!

This size and style takes about 3-4 weeks to create but patience has its rewards! Just an FYI though to order in advance so you have it pre-wedding day.

Battenkill River Pottery has a variety of offerings, so I encourage you to check out their website battenkillriverpottery.com OR call/e-mail Jessica directly: 802-375-6459 / phillipsjl73@myfairpoint.net. Tell her Trista said hello! Have a lovely friday everyone.
