Hi ALL,
Trainer Tuesday already and today you get ME! Chatting about my fitness hurdles and how I plan to overcome them. For me, it’s an up and down battle- UNTIL I find my GROOVE.

One thing I have the hardest time doing is getting into my fitness routine aka my groove. If I am not in the mind set of fitness and loosing weight then I just won’t do it, period. I could try and try but without finding that passion or drive, it goes nowhere. Hence why I have committed myself to a 10k Road Race! eeekkk. That is 6.22 miles of pure adrenaline to the finish line. WOW (stated with a very nervous facial expression). It’s not going to be easy, but it will make me get off my butt and RUN.
I have completed a few 5k races in the past but within average time (30-31min) so nothing really impressive. But they kept me focused and in shape! It gave me a goal and my mission. I am NOT a runner by any means. I am just lucky to finish and even that I have to push myself beyond limits. I played Lacrosse in college and people always say, “you had to run across that field”. BUT I was on a mission to score and get the ball across to the other end. NOW I have to use that same mind set, go towards that GOAL. Doesn’t matter what the goal is, just GET THERE!
Another thing I am classic for is yelling at my husband during one of my fitness journeys, poor Tom. I get into my nutrition kick and tell him to yell at me when I eat dessert or something bad, he does and then I yell at him lol.. I have to stop making other people responsible for my own actions- I HAVE TO TAKE CHARGE. It’s not his fault I am jamming a brownie down my throat, it’s mine. And I am the ONLY person who can tell myself NO! Everyone else can preach to me until I am blue in the face, but in the end..I control ME.
Point of post- FIND what pushes you, get into the groove and do it for YOURSELF. What will you goal be? How will you get there? Are you ready to make that change for yourself? Think about those questions and how you’d answer them.
As a fun side item, I am looking to build up my gym music mix, leave a comment below with your favorite gym jams! we can all share song suggestions and help each other PUMP IT UP! Thanks and enjoy the rest of your week!!!
