Hello everyone!
It’s FEATURED FRIDAY- Spring style.. Finally warm temperatures in Massachusetts and we are welcoming Spring with open arms. Today I wanted to find something fun, different and a project you could take on at home. While puttering online I found the amazing origami art of Joost Langeveld, specifically his floral arrangements caught my eye. His work is so detailed and realistic I think these would be amazing centerpieces!! Now they do take time, patience and practice but with help from a few dedicated bridesmaids, these would be stunning at your wedding.
Please note that these creations appear to require a lot of paper and time..but man are they worth it- PRICELESS.

Such a different idea and these centerpieces will leave your guests with their jaws wide open on the table. Saying, “How the heck did she make this? really? wow..” They will be SO impressed with your skills. Never mind how excited someone will be to take one home at the end of the day/night. These flowers won’t die and they will make an interesting and talked about piece in their home months even years after your wedding day.

Before even attempting these creations, I would start by learning some basic folds, which Joost reviews on his site- click here. Also review his paper suggestions because it is clearly all about the paper.

I cannot get over how realistic these flowers appear and it comes down to a few things.. attention to detail, paper choices and lastly the arrangement itself. Learn the final step in this process, how to arrange your flowers.

Guess what I found is the best part of following Joost in particular? VIDEO TUTORIALS!!! He also has a YouTube channel I highly recommend.
If you decide to try an arrangement for your home or actually make them for centerpieces, please e-mail your finished product pics to idothedetails@gmail.com . I would love to see your designs and showcase them on this site to inspire others.
AND last but not least…Don’t forget to enter the MARCH GIVEAWAY! You could win a handmade garter byGarter Lady! Created with love, details and elegant materials. GOOD LUCK!!! Anyone can enter too, win it for a bride…
